Last week we’ve added a number of new features. One track we’re following is expanding custom views on your stream. One example: Twinic TV now has a custom player to play your favorite video’s as a television channel. Expect more to come in the near future!

Starting today Twinic turns all channel and personal streams into an automated TV station. In TV modus videos are presented together nicely and they can be played in a continuous loop. Your visitors can view a TV channel per tag as well, so pretty soon you’ll be broadcasting hundreds of TV channels at the same time. We’re just starting with this feature, and will expand it in the coming time. Please let us which features you’d like us to add. YouTube only currently, sorry.

A quick note to people who can’t find a suitable avatar picture for themselves. At FaceYourManga you can create a beautiful manga avatar, and then upload it to Twinic. Helps the conversation, for sure!

Twinic is still in a pretty early stage. Most of the help sections need to be written still so here is a quick link to a Textile Reference. Textile is the markup language we use around Twinic. It can help you to add more stuff to your notes like emphasized text, complex URL’s or lists. An even shorter introduction can be found on Wikipedia.

PS: for your convenience, as of today, if you type an URL in your text boxes, Twinic automatically converts this into a real link!

A quick note while we are checking if the state of the application is acceptable. We’ve just deployed yesterday, so we are still in a very fragile state. Please be merciful, and you’ll see Twinic improve day by day. At this moment, the design is crap, I know.

We currently do not even have a logo yet. Change here too is on its way. For the time being you can customize your own little corner of Twinic, by uploading a background image, or choosing a different color (unfortunately in hex at the moment, which means that 000 is black and FFF is white :-)). In the next weeks, we’ll be offering much more customization options for people and channels. So stay tuned, and: Welcome to Twinic!!!
